St Gerard’s Catholic Primary School

Our Vision, Mission & Values

The school motto `Walk then as children of the Light` is lived out daily through the many positive interactions based on the love we have for everyone and rooted in Gospel values. Christ is at the heart of all aspects of school life.

Our Vision

To provide an excellent Catholic education that enables every child to flourish in faith, learning and love, whilst walking as children of the light.

Our Mission

Our mission – whilst walking as children of the light – is to:

Trust in God, grow in our relationship with Him and let our faith guide the way we live.

Look to the future with hope, trusting in the promises God made us through His son, Jesus.

Follow Jesus by treating everyone with love, kindness, compassion, dignity and respect.

Follow Christ’s example by serving others, sharing our gifts and making a positive difference in our homes, school, community, parish and world.

Aspire to be the best version of ourselves by using our unique, God given talents to achieve our full potential.

 Our Values

As Catholics, we desire to follow the teachings of the Gospel. We look to scripture for revelation from God which will guide us in the way he wants us to live. In the Gospels, and through our many church traditions, we find the person of Jesus. Through his teachings and interactions with people, he shows us the way to live our lives.  Through our values we strive to nurture and develop all the children in our care.

Our values, taken from our Mission, are:

Faith

Hope

Love

Serve

Aspire & Achieve
